Nourish in Nicaragua

February 29- March 05, 2024
Playa el Coco, Nicaragua
With Debbie Siegel and Michelle Fleming

With the Pacific Ocean as your front yard, you’ll breathe in the salty air and exhale out whatever stressors you wish to let go. Join Debby & Michelle for a unique adventure on a beautiful secluded beach in Nicaragua! At the confluence of a fresh river and the Pacific Ocean, you will find yourself surrounded by lush, protected nature reserves, abundant wildlife, and great surf. If you appreciate meaningful connections, body healing yoga, nature adventures, and gourmet local cuisine paired with inspiring sustainable housing, this is the retreat for you!

An intimate, 5 night, all-inclusive, healing retreat begins on this year’s bonus day, February 29,with Michelle Fleming of Orthopedic Yoga Therapy and Transformational Teacher Trainings and Debby Siegel of Yoga Evangelist. We start the day with the “undoings” characteristic of Michelle’s unique approach to yoga that allow for the body to release adhesions and scar tissue. Expect to be gently and effectively guided on a yoga journey unraveling tightness and helping heal hips and low back.

Debby will soothe the nervous system with highly effective trauma releasing restorative and yin yoga classes featuring Thai massage techniques and “Yoga Nidra” a meditation practice proven to reduce stress and heal adrenal fatigue and PTSD. She’ll also guide you in crafting a macrame planter or wall art piece and lead a journaling workshop. Ample time will be given for guests to relax by the pool, or indulge in excursions to surf, horseback ride on the beach and visit baby sea turtles.

Debbie Siegel

Forever a student of this mighty practice, it was in her forties that Debby discovered yoga and the healing it grants the body and mind. It has helped her navigate many of life’s transitions since, including a career shift into the humbling role of yoga teacher. Debby creatively guides yoga students with her earthy mix of attentive alignment, fluid movement and breath awareness. She encourages curiosity about the practice and often uses props to further enhance the asana experience. Debby’s fresh ideas engage people’s imaginations as students are whisked away from routine and carried along on magical yoga journeys with inspiration woven into every class, workshop, retreat and event she leads.

In addition to originating retreats and guiding yoga in Tulum, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Sedona, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, and soon in Greece, Debby has taught for Wanderlust Festivals, Kripalu Center, ReKinection, and even created her own music & yoga festival – Manifest Station – and ran it for five years pre-pandemic.

Her master’s degree in marketing coupled with a 500-hour yoga teacher certificate and over 1000 hours of guiding the practice have equipped Debby with the tools to expertly hold space for beings at retreats around the globe. She will be nourishing your soul with yoga, tea, macrame, and journaling in Nica at Michelle’s retreat center there!
